Buffalo has announced the launch of its new multi connector external HDD. Mainly intented for Mac users, the HDD features a USB 2.0 port, two FireWire 800 ports, one FireWire 400 port, and one eSATA port. It is available with different memory capacities of 320GB, 500GB and 1TB and priced at 190 to 435 EUR.

Compact flash cards are slowly becoming a thing of the past, being replaced by SD cards, but there are still alot of cameras that rely on the older format. So RIDATA is looking out for you. They just introduced what they call the SMART compact flash card.

They are SMART because the have a new internal data monitoring system that ensures you never experience any data loss. It’s said that Iomega is working in new sizes and plugs at this year’s Macworld.

This 2.5-inch drive is said to come in 160GB and 250GB sizes which are priced at $140 and $210 for the USB 2.0 versions and the Dual Interface editions will cost you $160 and $230.

Both versions can be powered straight from the data plug.

I have not used a ruler in a long time (well since not long after I was at school years ago), but a USB flash drive I find very handy for having portable information on the move (be it videos, gadgets, word docs, photos etc).
So how do I feel about a USB drive that also doubles up as a ruler, well I guess it is better to have a ruler and USB flash drive than just the drive as I can remember a few times needing to message things.
We could think of many other better combinations for a USB flash drive but what do you guys and girls think about this little device, good or bad?
